Reddit User Catches 130 Bots on WPT Global, Receives Minimal Compensation

A Reddit user recently shared their experience with WPT Global, detailing how they reported 130 bot accounts over three months. The user initially enjoyed playing on the platform due to its unique features and promising player pools.

Bot Detection and Reporting

The user noticed several suspicious accounts with similar patterns, identical avatars, and consistent playing strategies. These accounts would play for 12-48 hours without breaks and always rebuy after losing their entire stack. The user reported these accounts to WPT Global's security team, who eventually confirmed that many of these accounts were banned and their funds confiscated.

Compensation and Response

Despite the user's efforts, WPT Global offered minimal compensation. The user received $3.85 per bot and a total of $100, far less than the thousands of dollars lost to these bots. WPT Global's representative claimed the compensation was for a situation involving a banned influencer, not the bots. The user expressed frustration with the lack of response from WPT Global's security team, who allegedly did not reply to emails and Discord messages for months.
