New Poker Movie Quads & The Kicker to Focus on Female Players
An exciting new poker movie is on the horizon, and it's bringing a fresh perspective to the genre. Quads & The Kicker, based on the off-Broadway play Never the Same Rhyme Twice, is set to star Kelly Marie Tran, Ilia Isorelýs Paulino, Ashley Reyes, and Jamie Neumann. The film is being produced by Ranch Productions and is directed by Heidi James.
The movie follows a once-loyal sisterhood of female poker players as shifting alliances and a triple-con fracture their bond. The original play by Andy Rooster Bloch features four con-women playing poker who confront each other with sharp dialogue, guns, and revenge, blending dark comedy and drama. Production is currently underway in Flagstaff, Arizona.
This film brings something new to the poker movie genre, which has traditionally focused on male players. With a unique storyline and a talented cast, Quads & The Kicker is poised to make a significant impact in the world of poker films.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
