Poker Out Loud: When Headphones Help Players Think Aloud
Poker Out Loud is a unique series where professional poker players wear headphones to isolate themselves from external sounds and comment on their decisions in real-time. The series is created by the poker school Solve For Why, founded by Matt Berkey.
In one of the episodes, Matt Vaughan, a poker video blogger, and Marli Cordeiro played a hand where Matt raised with pocket deuces and Marli called with A5o. Finding Equilibrium, an analytical blog, commented on the hand played by Matt Vaughan and Marli Cordeiro.
Matt Vaughan was disqualified from a tournament on Ignition Poker for playing under someone else's account. The disqualification came after he won a million-dollar tournament, which would have earned him $115,041. However, he was playing under someone else's account, which is against the rules. Despite this, the player he defeated in the heads-up final sent him $21,000, keeping the second-place prize for himself.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
