Poker Player Analyzes Hand with Three Donk Bets in 3-Bet Pot
Vladimir Minefielded analyzed a hand from NL25 where his opponent made three donk bets in a 3-bet pot. The opponent's statistics were 28/18/3.4 over 75 hands, including the given hand. The opponent's aggression on the postflop was 1.3, and folds on 3-bet were 50 (two cases). The opponent's open-raise on UTG was 30% (3/10).
Niiaz HotShot advised Vladimir Minefielded to convert all actions to bb for better readability. Niiaz HotShot suggested that the opponent was not a fish and that the 3-bet range should be narrower. Vladimir Minefielded made a mini-raise on the flop and considered it an error. Niiaz HotShot advised that a larger raise would be more appropriate given the situation.
On the turn, a 2 came out, pairing the board and creating a flush draw. The opponent donked again, but with a smaller bet. Niiaz HotShot pointed out that the 2 on the turn did not significantly change the opponent's range.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
