Poker Pro Analyzes Two Hands Played on NL1k at GG Poker
A poker player recently shared a detailed analysis of two hands played on NL1k at GG Poker, using PioSolver to break down the theory behind each move.
In the first hand, the player made a raise on the cutoff and received a call from the big blind. According to PioSolver, the big blind had an expected value (EV) of around $18, while the cutoff had approximately $33. The player made a standard bet of $12.25, slightly more than a quarter of the pot, and the opponent called.
Later in the hand, the player made an overbet of $120 and received a call. The player then pushed all-in with 75% of the pot and received a call with top pair and a blocker. The player reflected on the hand, noting that while the move was theoretically sound, a 75% bet or a check might have been more effective.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
