Poker Forum Drama: Bans, Accusations, and Player Activities

The poker forum has been a hotbed of drama and controversy recently, with several notable events and accusations making waves among the community.

Accusations and Bans

Rinat Zapahzamazki, known as Zapahzamazki, accused PokerGrant and its leader Dmitry of being non-existent, suggesting that the real owners were botters. This accusation led to a series of events, including the temporary ban of Zapahzamazki and the ban of user dog93. The situation escalated with verbal altercations, insults, and ultimately, Zapahzamazki's permanent ban from the forum and the inaccessibility of his Twitch page.

Ivan Demidov and Mako27 expressed doubts about the validity of Zapahzamazki's accusations, with Demidov stating that no facts were provided and the posts were aimed at creating hype. Mako27 also questioned the credibility of the information, suggesting that it did not meet the standards of previous investigations.

Player Responses

Andrey Streltsov, a prominent MTT player, responded calmly to the accusations, stating that PokerGrant was a failed startup. He mentioned that he did not need the money at the time and participated in financing the project. Streltsov also highlighted his involvement in successful projects like Simpl Postflop, contrasting them with the failure of PokerGrant.

The ban of user dog93 led to the departure of Aleksey Shuller_A1t, a prominent poster in the Omaha section. Shuller_A1t was known for his contributions to the community, and his departure was met with regret by many forum members. Julio, a forum user, expressed sadness over Shuller_A1t's departure, hoping that it would be temporary.

Notable Activities

Ireful organized a cash marathon of 100,000 hands without zoom poker from November 29 to December 31. The decision to avoid zoom poker was based on a preference for selecting tables manually, allowing for a more strategic approach to the game.

MountainRose streamed several tournaments, including a $5,000 buy-in on partypoker, and engaged with the audience by answering questions. However, the recording of the stream was not saved, and only a clip from one of the hands remained. MountainRose also criticized the organizers of the EPT Prague event for their greed and lack of TV broadcasts, highlighting the economic impact of these decisions.

Julia lisyonok returned to her blog after nearly a year and a half to share personal struggles. She mentioned that her friend described the post as very dark and heavy, but she assured readers that she was not in a state of depression or despair. Lisyonok also shared her past as a professional poker player and her current involvement in business and retail trade.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
