Poker Duel: Amateurs vs. Pro - Who Will Win?

The second episode of the GTO duel features two new participants, Eva and Ramzi, who will face off against the formidable Steven Chidwick. The game is played against George, an eight-legged solver, with players taking turns. A player is eliminated if they make one gross mistake or three regular mistakes.

Eva chooses a spot with a postflop situation, a 40 bb stack, and a button vs. cutoff scenario. She and Ramzi discuss whether to call or fold based on the board and their hand. Eva initially considers calling but ultimately decides to fold after discussing with Ramzi.

Steven Chidwick makes a bet of 4.7 bb with ATo, considering it a polarized situation. On the river, George bets approximately half the bank, and Steven considers his options. Eva and Ramzi discuss whether to call, fold, or raise, with Eva opting for a call. Steven explains his reasoning for pushing with ATo, considering it the top of his range. Ultimately, Eva and Ramzi decide to fold after George goes all-in on the river.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
