Phil Hellmuth Praises Ben Rolle's Strategic Play in WSOP Online Main Event

Phil Hellmuth, a renowned poker commentator, recognized Ben Rolle's nickname bencb and confirmed that he was in the final the previous year. Hellmuth praised Rolle's achievement, stating that winning two consecutive top 9 finishes out of 6,000 players is an incredible feat.

During the final, Ben Rolle chose to sit to the left of players with medium stacks instead of directly across from his closest pursuer, Anatoly Zlotnikov. This strategic move allowed Rolle to control the game and make key decisions. Rolle made a preflop raise with Q3s and won the pot with a small continuation bet. He also opened with K8s from UTG+1 and all other players folded, showcasing his ability to put pressure on his opponents.

Rolle's strategic play continued as he won a small pot on the river against Santiago Plante, who limped and checked all streets. Rolle also folded to a 3-bet from a Chinese player named Chen with pocket threes, showing his discipline and patience. He opened with J9o and won the blinds and ante without a fight, following the solver's recommendation and making a small bet on the turn, which caused Daniel Smilkovic to fold. Rolle made an open raise with K7s and won the pot without a fight, demonstrating his ability to read his opponents and make calculated moves.
