Phil Galfond Launches New Blog After Leaving Bluefire Poker
Phil Galfond has launched his own blog on January 8, 2012. This move comes after Bluefire Poker removed his farewell post and changed the passwords to his blog, effectively cutting ties with the platform. In his first post, Galfond welcomed readers to his new blog and shared his plans for the future.
Galfond mentioned that he respects Daniel Negreanu for his efforts in promoting poker. He admires Negreanu's ability to create a comfortable atmosphere at the table and his openness in discussing his beliefs. Galfond, however, noted that he is not as outgoing as Negreanu and prefers to keep a lower profile. He aims to use his blog to share more about his life and poker strategies, hoping to set an example for younger online professionals.
Galfond also reflected on his move to Las Vegas after the Black Friday incident. He expressed his love for Vancouver, where he has been living since the end of the World Series of Poker. He praised the city's friendly people, clean streets, and better weather, despite the frequent rain. Galfond plans to continue living in Vancouver and focuses on his poker career and personal growth.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
