PGCB Fines Operators $180K for Violations Amid Revenue Surge
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) has issued a total of four fines against various licensed operators for specific failures of their licenses, totaling $180,000. These penalties targeted companies for poor Know Your Customer (KYC) processes, insufficient vetting processes in employing people, and more.
Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment received two fines totaling $80,000. One $40,000 penalty was for allowing underage gamblers to access the gaming floors and engage with the products available on-site. Another $40,000 was meted out as a penalty for employing five unlicensed people who had access to iGaming account holders’ personal identifying information obtained through the company’s BetParx platform.
Wind Creek Bethlehem, LLC was fined $50,000 over failures to properly set Know Your Customer guidelines that led to fraudulent withdrawals from iGaming accounts of more than $92,000. Fantasy Contest Operator YFS Sub LLC, a Yahoo Fantasy Sports subsidiary, was fined $50,000 for failing to notify and gain proper approval for a change of control of its license.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
