Danish Poker Pro Peter Jepsen's Dramatic Fall from Grace
Peter Jepsen, a Danish poker player, once stood at the pinnacle of his career. In 2007, he won the main tournament of EPT Warsaw. His fortunes took a dramatic turn in 2009.
Jepsen won over a million dollars in 2009. He won the biggest online poker pot in history in September 2008, $499,037. He also won 1.2 million dollars from Victor Blom in 2009.
However, Jepsen's life took a dramatic turn for the worse. He broke his leg and developed chronic inflammation of all fingers in 2009. He was forced to pay a large fine to tax authorities in 2009. His girlfriend left him in 2009.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
