Nick Howard's Top 10 Tips for Improving Your Zoom 200 Poker Game
Poker professional Nick Howard has shared his top 10 tips for improving your game on the Zoom 200 NL limit. Howard's win rate for the period from mid-April to the end of May was 3.2bb/100.
One of Howard's key pieces of advice is to maximize your VPIP on blinds to protect more hands, especially in multi-pot situations. He also suggests using overbets more frequently, stating that on many rivers, it is correct to bet one and a half times the pot or more.
Howard advises reducing out-of-position continuation bets against strong regulars until you can clearly visualize the equity distribution. He also recommends using fewer different lines on the flop and turn, and not trying to balance a new strategic line unless you believe the work will yield a significant increase in expectation.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
