New Las Vegas Strip Casino Approved with Unique Design Features
Clark County commissioners have approved a new casino project on the Las Vegas Strip, marking a significant development for the iconic entertainment destination. The project, led by developer Eli Applebaum, is set to feature a 752-room hotel resort on a 12-acre property on Las Vegas Boulevard.
The property, acquired by Applebaum last spring from a group who owned it from a bankruptcy case, has a rich history of proposed developments. Originally slated for the SkyVue observation wheel project, the land includes two large concrete columns that will be repurposed for the new casino. The hotel tower will boast a heart-shaped facade covered by a massive LED screen, adding a unique aesthetic to the Strip.
In addition to the hotel, plans include a covered pedestrian plaza inspired by the Fremont Street Experience and a midair restaurant that will utilize the existing concrete columns. The property's proximity to the new MLB stadium for the Oakland A’s baseball team positions it well to attract additional visitors. With 81 regular season home games each year, the stadium is expected to drive significant traffic to the south end of the Strip, where the new casino will be located just north of the stadium project.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
