Poker Pro Mike Gorodinsky's $422K Win Overshadowed by Missing Safe Deposit Box Contents
Mike Gorodinsky, a seasoned poker player, recently secured his third WSOP bracelet in the $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. Championship, earning a substantial $422,747 in prize money. However, his victory was overshadowed by a peculiar incident involving his safe deposit box at the Bellagio.
On June 1, Gorodinsky took to Twitter to report that the contents of his safe deposit box had mysteriously vanished. The box, intended for securely storing money and valuables, had been compromised, leaving Gorodinsky in a predicament. His followers swiftly offered a range of suggestions, from contacting law enforcement to reviewing casino surveillance footage. Some even speculated that the wrong box might have been placed in his numbered slot.
Gorodinsky, who had been busy grinding the WSOP tables and cashing in multiple events, finally provided an update following his victory. He revealed that the Bellagio's security process indicated he was the only person to access the box, making compensation unlikely. Despite this setback, Gorodinsky expressed hope for further discussions with MGM executives regarding the matter.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
