Michael Mizrahi: From Poker Prodigy to World Series Champion

Michael Mizrahi, a renowned poker player, recently shared his incredible journey in the world of poker, highlighting his experiences from the 2025 World Series of Poker. His story begins at the age of 15, when he started playing poker with his brothers for baseball cards and comics.

Mizrahi's family played a significant role in his poker career. Unlike many families, they supported his decision to pursue poker over college, as they were avid casino players themselves. This unique support system allowed Mizrahi to focus on his poker skills and develop his career.

Mizrahi's first major tournament win was in 2005, earning him his first six-figure prize. This victory marked a turning point in his career, propelling him into the spotlight of the poker world. During the 2010 World Series of Poker, Mizrahi played tournaments during the day and played slots at night, sleeping only a few hours each night. This intense schedule showcased his dedication and passion for the game.
