Michael Mizrachi's Wild Stories: From Poker Underage to Lamborghinis
Michael Mizrachi, the defending WSOP Main Event champion, has had a remarkable run in recent years. In 2025, he won his eighth bracelet and $10,000,000 in the WSOP main event, topping the third-largest field in WSOP main event history. He also won the WSOP $50,000 Poker Players Championship, extending his record to four victories. This incredible one-two punch earned him an impromptu induction into the Poker Hall of Fame.
Mizrachi's success continued into 2026 when he took down the WSOP $10,000 pot-limit Omaha championship for his ninth bracelet and $1.3 million. With more than $30.6 million in career cashes, including two World Poker Tour main event titles, Mizrachi is undoubtedly one of the greatest poker players of all time.
In a recent interview on the Deep Cuts podcast, Mizrachi shared some wild stories from his career. He discussed playing poker underage on cruise ships, driving 170 miles per hour with Ben Lamb in a Lamborghini, and partying until 9 AM during his run to the main event bracelet. Despite his legendary wins, Mizrachi said he did not mind not winning the 2025 WSOP Player of the Year award, stating that he would take the main event and the PPC every year.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
