Mehdi Chaoui and Jesse Lonis Crowned Champions at Triton Super High Roller Series Jeju

The 2026 Triton Super High Roller Series Jeju has seen two notable champions emerge from its turbo events. Mehdi Chaoui and Jesse Lonis both secured victories in single-day turbo tournaments held at the LES A Casino in South Korea.

Mehdi Chaoui won the $30,000 buy-in no-limit hold’em event, which attracted 99 entries and created a prize pool of $2,969,999. Chaoui, a 25-year-old from Morocco, claimed his first Triton title and $747,000 in prize money. This victory was his second-largest score, following a runner-up finish in the $40,000 mystery bounty event at the Triton Jeju stop last fall. Chaoui's total recorded scores now exceed $4.6 million, with more than $2 million coming from his nine cashes on this tour. His win also earned him 756 Card Player Player of the Year points, moving him just outside the top 30 in the POY standings.

Competition was fierce, with notable players like Richard Yong, Alex Foxen, Daniel Rezaei, and Seth Davies among the finalists. Nguyen Le finished as the runner-up, earning $505,000 and growing his lifetime haul to over $5.6 million.

In the $50,000 NLH Turbo Bounty event, Jesse Lonis emerged as the champion. With 46 entries, the event created a prize pool of $2,300,000. Lonis, the reigning POY winner, secured his fourth Triton title and $1,014,000 including bounties. His victory also earned him 510 POY points, moving him into 22nd place in the 2026 standings. Lonis is now aiming to become the first player to win the POY award in back-to-back years, with career earnings exceeding $30.5 million.

Kiat Lee finished second, earning $343,000, while Kelvin Kerber took third place with $341,000 plus $120,000 in bounties. Other notable finalists included Alex Foxen and Quan Zhou, who have also had significant success in the 2026 POY standings.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
