Maryland Couple Wins $500K and Secures Retirement with Lucky Scratch-Off
A Dundalk couple won $500,000 from a Gifts of Green scratch-off ticket. The husband told his wife to buy Gifts of Green tickets after researching outstanding top prizes from Maryland Lottery scratch-off games. The couple bought the winning ticket at a Walmart on 2399 North Point Boulevard in Dundalk.
The couple plans to use the winnings to buy a new car and secure their retirement. The husband and wife both work at a Maryland college and admitted in an interview that they are avid scratch-off players. They were worried about retirement but the win has eased their concerns.
Gifts of Green offers many prizes. Each scratch-off costs $20, and it offers players a chance to win a prize between $20 and $500,000. While initially, Gifts of Green offered seven top prizes of $500,000 each, after the latest win, two such prizes remain in play.
