Martin Jacobson has made a name for himself in the poker world with seven final table appearances in major tournaments since 2008, but he has yet to secure a major title. His consistent high finishes have earned him significant prize money and respect within the community.
Jacobson's notable finishes include a 4th place in the EPT Budapest in October 2008, earning €197,904, and a 2nd place in the WPT Venice in May 2009, earning €238,840. Jacobson's journey in poker began at the age of 20 when he started his professional career. He grew up on a small island near Stockholm and later moved to London. Before fully committing to poker, Jacobson attended culinary school after disliking subjects like mathematics in high school. He worked as a cook in various places, including serving in the military as a cook. Poker was initially a hobby that provided additional income, but his passion for the game grew over time.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
