Marius Kudzamanas was crowned the World Champion at King’s Casino Prague, overcoming a record-breaking field of 2,617 players to take home a €2,000,000 first-place prize and a custom-crafted WSOP gold bracelet.
This year’s WSOPE Main Event was a historic affair, with a total prize pool of €13,085,000, exceeding the €10,000,000 guarantee. The festival attracted a total of 15,779 players from 80 different countries, creating a total prize pool of €39,500,000. Notable players included Shaun Deeb, Texas Mike, Shina Okamoto, Anthony Zinno, and Chris Hunichen.
Annette Oberstad, the youngest-ever WSOP Main Event champion, returned to competitive tournament poker after a hiatus. Shaun Deeb nearly won two bracelets but was defeated by four-of-a-kind in both events. The WSOP Las Vegas will feature 100 gold bracelet events, including the Main Event, from May 26 to July 15.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
