Poker Pro Kevin Ruskitti's WSOP Account Frozen Amid Cheating Allegations
Kevin Ruskitti, a well-known poker player from Michigan, won a WSOP Online bracelet in a $500 tournament in mid-October. However, his victory was short-lived as his WSOP account was temporarily frozen due to accusations of using a poker assistant tool. Ruskitti denied using any such tools and claimed he was a victim of cheating in home games.
The accusations against Ruskitti were based on a Fair Play Check function, which has a history of false positives. The function, developed by GTOWizard, is designed to detect the use of poker assistant tools during games. However, it has been criticized for producing inaccurate results. In October 2023, Mike Holz accused Chris Battenfield of using a poker assistant tool based on Fair Play Check results, but the accusations were later proven false.
Ruskitti's opponent in the final, Cherish Andrews, expressed frustration with the situation. She stated that she had no idea Ruskitti was using a poker assistant tool during their game. The WSOP has not yet released the results of their investigation into the allegations against Ruskitti.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
