Isaac Haxton on Mining, Dan Colman's Losses, Offline Poker, and Vaccination
Isaac Haxton, a prominent figure in the poker community, recently shared his insights on several pressing topics. Regarding Dan Colman's recent losses, Haxton sympathizes with Colman but also believes that Colman should have been more cautious in his dealings. "When you're deceived, it's obviously not a good thing," Haxton stated. "I don't know all the details, but it sounds bad. I feel bad for Dan, but I also agree with those who say this outcome isn't surprising."
Haxton also commented on Phil Hellmuth's recent victories over Daniel Negreanu. "I didn't watch a single minute of the match," Haxton said. "I don't know who is stronger, but I find it very entertaining to watch Phil destroy his opponents." Haxton finds it particularly amusing when highly opinionated players lose to Hellmuth, referencing a clip where Hellmuth is dubbed the "predator."
Regarding the state of offline poker during the pandemic, Haxton expressed concerns about the rapid development of offline events in the US. "In Las Vegas, they started playing live in December, and it was complete madness," Haxton remarked. "I don't support organizers who held tournaments under such conditions. Now it's much better, but I still don't understand people who refuse vaccination unless it's medically contraindicated."

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
