High-Stakes Poker: EEE- and Chinese-tiger's Intense Sessions
EEE- played a multi-hour session on two tables on July 17 and managed to win despite an unsuccessful start. In one of the early hands, Stanislav Melguy bought a full house against EEE-'s nut flush. However, EEE- took a convincing revenge when Stanislav Melguy pushed all-in on the turn without outs.
EEE- also had notable victories against other regulars. Tobias Dutweiler, who recently finished second in the Luxon Invitational, was one of EEE-'s victims. Victor Kudinov fell into a trap with an overpair on the flop. EEE- made bold calls and caught nuts from the flop, which also contributed to his wins. However, these successes were local, and his overall result for the past month on high stakes is impressive.
Chinese-tiger, possibly a new account of crazytrader, made his first appearance on high-stakes tables on July 18. He played a 3-max game with Kevin Paquet and Enlight. Enlight spent two minutes on the river timer in one of the hands, which he admitted he hadn't done in a long time. Chinese-tiger tried to gather full tables but faced difficulties due to high stakes. Sometimes he played PLO to gather a full table. Chinese-tiger won his largest bank in a heads-up situation by catching a set. He played a heads-up session with Linus Loeliger, who rebought and doubled up almost immediately. Chinese-tiger played several hands of short deck poker with Katya_18 at the end of the day. Chinese-tiger started his last session with PLO and had a good run against Laszlo Buytas. Andrey Santos won a huge bank where four players went all-in on the flop. Timofei Kuznetsov briefly joined the game, and the session ended with a hand between Chinese-tiger and Stanislav Melguy. BTC200K-FORSURE, another Chinese high roller, played extensively in high-stakes PLO.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
