Gas Hansen: From Poker to Bridge and Back Again
Gas Hansen, a well-known figure in the poker world, has been making waves recently with his return to the game of bridge. Hansen learned to play bridge before he even picked up poker or backgammon, and has been rekindling his love for the game. He has been reading bridge literature and playing small tournaments, finding the game to be both interesting and enjoyable.
In addition to his bridge endeavors, Hansen has also invested in the Bridge+Dealer shuffle machine project. The investment came about through a mutual acquaintance, and Hansen is optimistic about the project's success. He is working on it with his agent, who has a wealth of experience in the gaming industry.
Hansen and his partner Tom Hénlon have had success in the Pro/Am tournament, winning it in their first year and placing 10th the following year. Hansen is hopeful that their partnership will continue to yield positive results. Regarding his poker career, Hansen's contract with Full Tilt ended in September, and he is taking a break from online poker. He plans to participate in the WSOP and EPT Monaco tournaments, but has no immediate plans to return to online play.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
