FTOPS XIII Kicks Off with Thrilling Tournaments on Full Tilt

The thirteenth FTOPS tournament series has started on Full Tilt. The first tournament of the series, a no-limit hold'em event with a $216 buy-in, attracted 5,712 participants. Vitaly Lunkin, a member of the Full Tilt team, was the host of the first tournament.

Three Russian players were among the leaders for a long time: vice67, mordovortishe, and Aleksandr Panov. However, their luck ran out when only two tables remained. Vice67 finished in 16th place, mordovortishe in 13th, and Aleksandr Panov in 12th. Deception Pt won the first tournament of the series, securing the official victory. MaKaVeLi21 won the largest prize of $131,693 in the first tournament.

In addition to the no-limit hold'em event, there are other tournaments scheduled. A shootout on short tables with a $322 buy-in is set for the evening, and a limit Omaha Hi-Lo tournament with a $216 buy-in will be played early in the morning.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
