Former Baltimore Cop Wins $1 Million Powerball Prize
A former Baltimore City police officer from Kingsville won a $1 million tier-two prize in the Powerball lottery. The winner is a regular lottery player who usually buys his tickets from Walmart in Fallston, but this time he purchased the winning ticket from the Harvest Fare store on 2315 Belair Road in Fallston.
The man matched five white balls but missed the red Powerball. The man initially thought he had won a smaller prize. He checked his ticket while in his car the day after the drawing but initially didn’t see that he matched five white balls. Going home to his daughter, he handed her the ticket, and this is when he heard the news that he had just become a millionaire.
With his newfound fortune, the man said that he plans to pay off a recreational vehicle he recently purchased and settle some bills. Moreover, the lucky player said he plans to take a trip to Florida. The next Powerball drawing is scheduled for Saturday, August 29, 2026, with an estimated jackpot of $119 million.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
