Flutter Fined £490,000 for Sending Promos to Self-Excluded Paddy Power Customers
Flutter has been fined £490,000 by the UK Gambling Commission for sending promotional push notifications to devices linked to Paddy Power customers who had self-excluded. Ian Brown, CEO of Flutter UK&I, apologized for the mistake and stated that the push notification was sent in error.
Flutter took immediate steps to rectify the issue and proactively notified the Gambling Commission. Neither Paddy Power nor the regulator received any complaints about the message.
Flutter continues to work closely with the Gambling Commission in all areas and is committed to operating at the highest possible levels of responsibility.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
