Fedor Holz Reflects on His Poker Journey and Future Aspirations
Fedor Holz, a professional poker player, recently discussed his journey and achievements in the game. In September 2012, Holz lived in a small room in a large house rented by a group of students and had less than 1000 euros when he finished second in a heads-up tournament against Thomas Petru.
Holz studied informatics but dropped out because he lacked motivation and felt he couldn't reach the level he wanted. He joined the TGK (TeamGatsbyKempinho) group, which significantly influenced his poker career. Holz believes in the power of collaborative learning and has considered applying this method outside of poker, particularly in education.
Fedor Holz's significant breakthrough in poker came in 2013 when he started traveling and playing more live games. He believes that his success is due to his psychological preparation, the support of his social circle, and the opportunities he had to experiment with different aspects of the game.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
