Esports World Cup 2026: DATA.BET Reveals Top Betting Trends
DATA.BET has released an overview of wagering activity at the Esports World Cup 2026, which concluded on August 23 at Paris Expo Porte de Versaille. The event featured a prize pool of $75,000,000, backed by Saudi Arabia, and was the first edition to be hosted outside the country.
Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, Valorant and League of Legends led the way in terms of share of the total bets. DATA.BET tracked activity over 24 titles, including newly introduced esports competitions, such as Trackmania. According to the company’s data, 93% of the turnover was generated by only four titles, including Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, Valorant and League of Legends.
Counter-Strike 2 and Dota 2 held a disproportionate share of the total wagering activity that took place, with 41% and 31.8%, respectively. Valorant and League of Legends scooped 11.7% and 8.5% of the total in terms of betting turnover. League of Legends saw the largest bets placed on the game. Outside the 93%, three other titles drove betting turnover, with Rainbow Six Siege, Call of Duty, and Rocket League.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
