Emiliano Sanchez Reveals How to Boost Player Value in iGaming
The iGaming audience is no longer growing as fast as the number of providers and operators, making it increasingly difficult and expensive to attract players. Emiliano Sanchez, CCO of Mancala Gaming, discusses strategies to increase player value in the iGaming industry.
Mancala Gaming created a gamification system that resulted in a +47% increase in active players, +50% bets, and an 87% increase in ARPU within five weeks. This system rewards players for their actions and gradually motivates them to increase their bets, creating a personalized gaming experience that keeps players engaged.
Mancala Gaming's bonus system is a scenario builder designed for different business objectives, activated by triggers such as the initial game launch, the number or amount of bets, or a specific loss threshold. This flexibility allows operators to customize campaigns for specific players, whether it involves a bonus ladder, daily rewards, or limited-time promotions. The progress bar introduced by Mancala Gaming constantly shows players exactly how much they need to reach the next bonus or a new level, enhancing the personalized gaming experience.
Mancala Gaming has increased its output to four games per month and is working on a casual mechanic that is entirely new to its portfolio. This constant drive to launch games more frequently and make them more innovative is a response to the changing preferences of new players, who expect familiar mechanics presented in fresh ways. Mancala Gaming's game Serengeti Sunrise, for example, relies on standard mechanics but offers a fresh experience through its theme, visuals, and rhythm. Within just a few months of its release, it caught up with established portfolio leaders in terms of Retention and ARPU, and it consistently generates five times more bets than the average game.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
