DraftKings Boosts Entain Takeover Bid to $22.4 Billion
DraftKings has made a significant move in the gambling industry by raising its takeover bid for Entain to $22.4 billion. This improved offer is now being seriously considered by Entain's board, following an initial $20 billion proposal that was deemed insufficient.
Entain received an initial offer of $20 billion from DraftKings, which was deemed insufficient by the board. By the end of the week DraftKings had improved their offer to $22.4 billion, which is now being seriously considered. DraftKings' latest proposal offers 2,800 pence per Entain share, consisting of 630 pence in cash and the balance payable in new DraftKings Class A common shares.
Entain's shares jumped by 18% after it disclosed the initial approach and a further 5% on Wednesday September 22. DraftKings has until October 19 to either table a firm offer or leave the negotiating table.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
