Doug Polk Retires from Poker, Focuses on New Content
Doug Polk has officially retired from poker and creating poker-related content. In a farewell video, he explained to his subscribers that poker no longer interests him and does not bring him joy. He no longer wants to play or record videos about hands.
Poker Career
Doug Polk left the "big poker" scene several years ago, and his last poker tournament was at the WSOP in 2019. He recalls that while sitting at the table, he just wanted to deal the chips and get out as quickly as possible.
YouTube Success
Doug Polk's YouTube channel was the most popular in the poker section. He started his rise to the top of poker YouTube four years ago, and during this time his channel became the most popular in the poker section. However, Polk is not leaving YouTube. He has already focused on other topics and almost daily uploads videos to his new channel with reviews of news about politics, finance, and, of course, coronavirus.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
