Danny Tang Wins Triton Montenegro Main Event
Danny Tang made history at the 2026 Triton Super High Roller Series Montenegro festival by winning the $100,000 no-limit hold’em main event. Tang earned $3,522,000 and his sixth trident trophy, becoming the fifth player ever to achieve six or more titles on the prestigious high-stakes tour.
Tang’s victory ties him with Punnat Punsri and Matthias Eibinger for third on the titles leaderboard. His first five Triton triumphs occurred during a nine-month stretch in 2023, but he had not won another title in 934 days before this victory. Just days before his win, Tang finished second in a $30,000 eight-max event, earning $628,000.
The event attracted 159 entries, creating a prize pool of $15.9 million. Notable players like Jesse Lonis, Mikita Badziakouski, Isaac Haxton, Punnat Punsri, Ben Tollerene, and Daniel Dvoress were eliminated before the final table. The third day began with Tang leading the final table. Kiat Lee was the first to fall, followed by Alex Kulev in eighth place ($431,000). Patrik Antonius was eliminated in seventh place ($595,000), and Cong Pham finished in sixth place ($817,000). Dominykas Mikolaitis was eliminated in fifth position, earning the first seven-figure payout ($1,064,000) awarded in the event. Leon Sturm was eliminated in fourth place ($1,334,000), and Wang Ye finished in third place ($1,636,000).

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
