Daniel Keits: The Poker Pro Who Threw Chips Like a Baseball Player

Daniel Keits, a professional poker player, recently discussed his controversial behavior during the Aussie Millions tournament. Keits threw a handful of chips at his opponent Jeff Rossiter after losing a pre-flop all-in with Kx Kx against Ax Ax. This incident has been a topic of discussion among his opponents online.

Ben Sulski commented on the incident, expressing concern about being targeted with chips. JayP-AA jokingly mentioned wanting to throw a chip at w00ki3z, referencing the incident. Ilari FIN mentioned that he was lucky the incident didn't happen offline, implying Keits might have thrown chips at him.

Keits explained that he was frustrated and threw chips at his opponent's stack, not at the opponent himself. He mentioned that he lost a million dollars in Australia over two weeks and has been losing in mixed games recently. Despite his struggles, Keits acknowledged that he has started exercising more recently. He also discussed his motivation during downswings and upswings, mentioning that he is open to playing with Ben Tolleren under certain conditions.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
