Daniel Dvoress Wins WPT Mike Sexton Classic with $294,000 Prize
The WPT Montreal Online series on PartyPoker concluded with the WPT Mike Sexton Classic tournament. The high-stakes event, held in honor of Mike Sexton, required a buy-in of $10,300. Daniel Dvoress showcased exceptional skill and luck throughout the tournament, leading from the start and maintaining his position at the top.
In the final heads-up match, Dvoress faced Aram Zobian. Despite Zobian's efforts to challenge Dvoress' lead, Dvoress' luck held out. In the final hand, Dvoress' 3-4 outshined Zobian's pocket pair of queens, allowing Dvoress to complete a straight on the river and secure all of Zobian's chips.
Dvoress' victory earned him $294,000, while Zobian took home $200,000 as the runner-up. Mike Watson finished third, winning $140,000. Other notable finishers included Elis Parsinen, Jonathan Van Fleet, Ansi Kintala, and Nino Ulimann.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
