Canadian Poker Pro Christopher Alcindor Wins Big O Bracelet at WSOP
Christopher Alcindor from Montreal secured his first WSOP gold bracelet and a career-best score of $387,110 at the 2026 World Series of Poker Big O event. The tournament attracted 2,150 entries and a prize pool of $2,802,785.
Alcindor's victory was a significant achievement, as his previous top result was $42,625 from a WSOP International Circuit Calgary monster stack event win in 2024. This win also earned him 1,080 Card Player Player of the Year points, moving him into the top 250 in the overall standings.
Scott Abrams, who won the inaugural Big O event in 2023, finished third in this year's tournament, earning $187,150. Other notable players who cashed in the event included Philip Hui, Ari Engel, Bryce Yockey, Ben Yu, Brett Shaffer, Luis Velador, Sean Troha, Viktor Blom, Dario Sammartino, Bruno Furth, Mark Gregorich, and Shawn Rice.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
