Chris Streveler: Davis Alexander Deserves NFL Shot, Blue Bombers Talented
Chris Streveler, a former CFL and NFL quarterback, has shared his insights on Davis Alexander's potential NFL career and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers' season. Streveler, who won a Grey Cup with the Blue Bombers in 2019 and had a multi-year NFL career with teams like the Cardinals, Jets, Ravens, and Dolphins, believes that Alexander deserves an NFL opportunity.
Alexander, the favorite to win Most Outstanding Player of the CFL this season, has thrown for 3,954 yards with 25 touchdowns and only two interceptions on 10.1 yards per attempt. Streveler, who is friends with Alexander and has trained with him in Arizona for several years, praises Alexander's intensity, attention to detail, and sense of urgency during training. He believes that if Alexander gets a fair shake, he can make it happen in the NFL.
Streveler also discussed the Winnipeg Blue Bombers' season. The team is currently 6-6 and tied for third place in the West Division with the BC Lions. Streveler, a fan favorite in Winnipeg, believes the Blue Bombers are very talented on paper but have struggled with consistency. He played alongside Zach Collaros for the Blue Bombers in 2024 and 2025 and believes that Collaros' performance on the field remains strong, despite some injury setbacks. Streveler said 10 different NFL teams wanted to work him out after the 2019 season, highlighting the potential interest in CFL players.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
