Caesars Sportsbook Fined $251,250 for Responsible Gambling Failures in New Jersey
Caesars Sportsbook has been fined $251,250 by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) for failing to meet responsible gambling standards. The DGE found that Caesars Sportsbook failed to send its daily self-exclusion list to the regulator. Additionally, the sportsbook allowed people to self-exclude for life through the platform, which is against regulations that require in-person appearance for lifetime self-exclusion.
The DGE also noted that Caesars Sportsbook did not include the mandatory responsible gambling language 'Bet With Your Head, Not Over It' along with the helpline number 1-800-GAMBLER in its signage. As part of the settlement, Caesars Sportsbook will also give up another $45,465 in profits.
The DGE has settled with the sportsbook, but cautioned that any further transgressions insofar as responsible gambling mandates would result in stricter enforcement action.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
