The WSOP Online on GGPoker started with a technical glitch, and the first two tournaments were postponed to July 26.
The WSOP The Opener tournament had a buy-in of $100 and attracted 29,306 entries. Marcelo Pudle from Brazil won the WSOP The Opener tournament, securing $265,000 and his first WSOP bracelet. Roniit Chamani from Israel finished as the runner-up, earning $198,000. Four players received six-figure payouts, including Marcelo Pudle, Roniit Chamani, Dajan Kaladjurdevic, and Ramiro Petrone.
Marcelo Pudle's victory marked his largest career win, as his previous highest online win was $3,000. The final heads-up match lasted only 10 minutes, with Pudle's A-5 beating Chamani's 5-6 in the decisive hand.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
