Battle Royale: From Niche Game to Poker Mastery

Battle Royale, a poker game that combines elements from online poker, was introduced in June 2021. Initially, Battle Royale tournaments were designed for 100 participants and consisted of three stages: Rush Zone, Shootout Zone, and Final Table. The Rush Zone lasted 15 minutes, with the top 50 participants advancing to the next stage. The Shootout Zone divided participants into 10 tables of 5-max, continuing until one player remained at each table. The Final Table followed standard tournament rules.

In August 2021, the number of participants was reduced to 30, with Rush Zone going to 15 players and Shootout Zone playing in 3-max format. If more than 15 players remained after 15 minutes, the shortest stacks not in the top 15 were eliminated, and their bounties were added to the prize pool. The Shootout Zone continued until one player remained at each table, with all players automatically going all-in if more than one remained after 5 minutes. The Final Table was played in 5-max format.

In April 2024, the rules changed again, reducing the number of participants to 18 and introducing Mystery Bounty. The new format includes a Rush phase, where the game continues until 9 players remain, and a Final phase with prizes for the top 3. Mystery Jackpot Bounty rewards are now part of the game, with probabilities of winning varying based on the tournament's prize pool.
