From University Poker Player to Pro: Artem's Journey
Artem began playing poker in his final year of university, aiming to earn some money on PokerStrategy. He started playing poker in 2008 or 2009.
Artem knew Sergey 'FrankTaylor3' from school but they did not communicate until they started playing poker. Artem initially played poker for fun but soon realized the potential to earn money. He started his poker journey with limit hold'em and had at least $50 in his account at all times.
Artem studied political science at the philosophy faculty of Tomsk State University. He initially studied radio physics but switched to political science after realizing he was not suited for physics. Artem's poker journey began with playing on PokerStrategy and eventually transitioned into a serious career. Artem's friends Sergey 'FrankTaylor3' and Nikita 'xenute' were already established poker players when he started. Artem and his friends initially communicated through mIRC and later switched to Skype.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
