Antonio Esfandiari Robbed of $1 Million: Poker Chips, Cash, and Jewelry Stolen
Poker professional Antonio Esfandiari fell victim to a robbery totaling about $1 million. The items stolen from his home safe in Panorama Towers on the Strip included $150,000 in cash, approximately $500,000 in poker chips from Aria and Bellagio, a $350,000 bracelet, and four watches worth $50,000.
The suspected robber, 46-year-old Svetlana Silva, was arrested by the police. Silva had previously lived with Esfandiari's father and had access to the safe combination. She was caught after being seen playing a high-stakes poker game with the stolen chips. During the game, she bought in with significant amounts of cash and chips, eventually winning several hands before leaving.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
