Andoni Larrabe: The 19-Year-Old Poker Pro Making Waves Online and Live
Andoni Larrabe, a 19-year-old poker player from Arrasate, Euskadi, has recently made headlines in the poker world. Known as 'Larrabe' in the forum and 'pollopopeye' in the poker rooms, he finished just short of the final table at the 'EPT Grand Final Montecarlo' and won the SCOOP-08-H event within two weeks.
Larrabe's journey in poker began with online games, and he later transitioned to live tournaments. He discovered EducaPoker while searching for poker strategy information online, which has been instrumental in his development as a player. He found the postflop game to be the most challenging aspect of poker but has benefited greatly from the written strategy, tutorials, and videos provided by EducaPoker.
Three months ago, Larrabe moved to London and is part of a group of seven poker players. He earned €82,500 at the EPT Grand Final Montecarlo but missed out on the million-euro first prize. His heads-up match against 'Caecilius' was intense and lasted several hours. Despite the challenges, Larrabe plans to continue playing poker and does not intend to change his lifestyle.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
