888 Poker Stops Offering EducaPuntos to EducaPoker Users
888 Poker has announced that it will stop offering EducaPuntos to EducaPoker users starting January 1, 2013. This decision, communicated to EducaPoker on November 20, 2012, is due to a change in 888 Poker's internal policy. The poker room, based in Israel, cited concerns about potential illegal rakeback policies as the reason behind this change.
EducaPoker has been negotiating with 888 Poker since November, trying to find a solution that would allow them to continue offering EducaPuntos. However, 888 Poker has remained firm in its decision, stating that it does not want affiliates to have any information about players' gaming activities.
To mitigate the impact on users, EducaPoker has announced that it will guarantee two months of EducaPuntos to 888 Poker users at their own expense. EducaPoker will sum all points generated in 888 Poker from November 1, 2012, to December 31, 2012, on February 28, 2013. Users are encouraged to switch to another poker room that offers EducaPuntos if they wish to continue earning points during this period.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
