Donk bet in poker
Definition
A bet made out of position into the player who raised before the flop, instead of checking to them.
Donk bets used to be seen as a beginner mistake because they give up the check-raise and fill the pot for the raiser. Modern theory allows them on some boards where the caller has a range advantage.
The term is used in a slightly mocking way for any bet that leads out against the aggressor.
