Wynn Resorts to Open Poker Room at New UAE Resort
Wynn Resorts is building a casino on Al Marjan Island in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Ryan Beauregard, the property’s vice president of poker operations and sporting events, announced plans to bring poker to the property.
Wynn expects to open the $3.9 billion integrated luxury resort in spring 2027. The resort will feature high-end dining and shopping, a spa and pool center, an events center, a beach club, a hotel, deep water marina, and more.
The UAE formed its General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority in 2023, and Wynn will pay a blended tax rate of between 10% and 12% of gross gaming revenue.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
