Robbery at WSOP and the World's Most Expensive Poker Tournament Announced
Professional poker player Joseph Salvaggi was robbed at gunpoint on the parking lot of the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino. The robber demanded Salvaggi's bag containing $8,000 in chips and some cash, as well as the keys to his car. The WSOP reminded players that they can request security to escort them to their cars, but in practice, this is difficult due to the lack of security personnel on the parking lot.
The Triton Million tournament will have a buy-in of £1,050,000, with £50,000 from each entry going to charity. The tournament will feature a unique format where recreational players and professionals play at separate tables for the first day.
Marly Cordeiro released a video parodying the famous Jungleman video, featuring models from Playboy.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
