Poker Pros Share WSOP Experiences: Wins, Losses, and Unforgettable Moments
Poker players from around the world gathered in Las Vegas for the World Series of Poker (WSOP), and several pros shared their experiences, dramatic hands, and memorable moments. Andrey Angier played around 20 tournaments during the WSOP series and finished with a profit of approximately $400k.
One of Angier's most memorable hands involved winning a set-over-set situation in the main event. The hand was particularly dramatic because the equity changed on every street, and the river brought a five of hearts, sealing his victory. Another notable moment for Angier was gaining 5 kg during the series due to expensive breakfasts costing $30-40 each.
Andrey Kot_Spartac also had a successful run, playing 16 tournaments and winning $170k. His most dramatic hand involved losing with KQ against AA in a top-10 6-max for $10k. Despite this loss, Kot_Spartac's most impressive achievement was winning $156k in a $10k tournament in Aria.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
