WSOP Champions Tournament: Vote for Your Favorites or Miss Out
The World Series of Poker (WSOP) is bringing back its Champions Tournament this summer in Las Vegas. The tournament, which has not been held for the past three years, will include a new interactive element: public voting to determine 20 of the 27 participants.
Five participants have already been confirmed: Joe Cada, Barry Schulman, Annie Duke, Mike Matousov, and Mike Sexton. Additionally, two wild card spots will be chosen by the organizers. The remaining 20 spots will be filled based on a public vote, which is open to anyone with an active email. Voting can be done at http://www.wsop.com/toc.
The tournament will take place over two days, with the first round on June 27th and the final table on July 4th. The prize pool, fully funded by the organizers, is $1 million. The tournament will be broadcast on ESPN on August 3rd. Voting closes on June 15th, so make sure to cast your vote for your favorite players.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
