WSOP 2011 to Feature Epic Poker Rematches
The 2011 World Series of Poker (WSOP) is set to feature a series of historic poker rematches. One of the most anticipated matchups is the rematch between Chris Moneymaker and Sam Farha. Chris Moneymaker defeated Phil Ivey in the 10th place of the main WSOP tournament in 2003.
The rematch between Chris Moneymaker and Sam Farha will consist of a series of matches until two wins are achieved. The first match will have stacks identical to those at the start of the 2003 WSOP heads-up, with Moneymaker starting with 5,490,000 chips and Farha with 2,900,000 chips. In the second round, the positions will be reversed, with Farha starting with the larger stack. If the score is tied after two games, a third match will be played with equal stacks.
Fans will have the opportunity to vote for the third historical matchup on the WSOP Facebook page. The voting will take place on May 2, with four historical duels to choose from, including the 1988 WSOP main event between Johnny Chen and Eric Seidel, the 2004 WSOP main event between Greg Raymer and David Williams, the 2006 WSOP main event between Jamie Gold and Paul Wasicka, and the 2010 WSOP main event between Jonathan Duhamel and John Raisen. The historical rematch matches will be held on June 2 in the Amazon Room of the Rio casino.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
